Arrival at México City international airport and transfer to the Hampton Inn hotel or similar. Overnight.
Day 2: Mexico City
Mexico City
Day dedicated to the visit of this city and the archeological site of Teotihuacan. Included are the visit of the “Zocalo” (the main square with the Cathedral and the National Palace), of the Templo Mayor, the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the most important centre of pilgrimage of the entire Latin America. Later we will visit Teotihuacan with its imponent Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and free evening.
Day 3: San Cristobal De Las Casas
Mexico City - Tuxtla Gutierrez - San Cristóbal de las Casas
Transfer to the airport and departure by a domestic flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital of the State of Chiapas. Stop in Chiapa de Corzo to visit the impressive Sumidero Canyon on board of private boats. Transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas up on the mountains above 2,000 mts. Overnight stay in the Gran Barrio Hotel or similar.
Day 4: San Cristobal De Las Casas

A day dedicated to visiting the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, located a few kilometres from San Cristóbal. There is also a visit to the picturesque colonial town and the local market, where you can admire the craftsmanship of the indigenous people and its famous churches, including the baroque Santo Domingo. Overnight stay at the Gran Barrio Hotel or similar .
Day 5: Palenque
San Cristóbal de las Casas - Palenque
Today we will descend from the Chiapas mountains, driving through greenest valleys. A stop is programmed to admire the Agua Azul waterfalls and for lunch. Arrival in Palenque and overnight stay at the Chan Kah Hotel or similar.
Day 6: Campeche
Palenque - Campeche
The entire morning will be dedicated to the visit of the archeological site of Palenque, still partly hidden in the tropical jungle, fascinating and rich of unique Pyramids. Lunch in a local restaurant and departure to Campeche. On arrival visit of the old city, still surrounded by ancient walls and towers, that still preserves a strong colonial flavour. Accommodation at the Francis Drake Hotel or similar.
Day 7: Merida
Campeche - Uxmal - Merida
Today our first stop will be to visit the site of Uxmal, one of the most important places for the Mayan culture. Lunch in a local restaurant. Arrival in Merida in the afternoon, the capital of the Yucatán State, the “white city”, so called for its colonial buildings. There will be a stop in the “zocalo” (main square) to visit the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Townhall and the House of Montejo. Overnight stay at the Mision de Fray Diego Hotel or similar.
Day 8:
Merida - Izamal - Chichen Itza - Cancun/Riviera Maya
Departure to visit Izamal, a village typical for its yellow-painted buildings and its Franciscan convent. Continuation to Chichen Itza, probably the most famous Mayan archaeological zone with the fascinating pyramid of Kukulkan. Lunch at a local restaurant. Arrival in Cancun or Riviera Maya in the late afternoon and accommodation at selected hotel (not included).
Possibility to add sea extension at the end of the tour.
